WhatsApp is bringing video call support to Android, iOS and Windows phones

Last month, we reported that a beta build of WhatsApp’s Android app included support for video calling. Today, the company has confirmed that it’s rolling out the feature across AndroidiOS and Windows.
With that, WhatsApp inches closer to being on par with rival services like Facebook’s Messenger and Line. It recently added support for GIFs on iOS and began testing a Snapchat-like feature that lets you share images that you can draw on or add stickers to, in a ‘Status’.
It might be a bit late to the party, but this is still big news for WhatsApp’s user base, which amounts to more than a billion people across the globe. Video calling should become available globally as the feature rolls out across platforms worldwide over the next few days.
